When Stella finally sees a home listed for a price she can actually afford, she goes after it without any hesitation. However, as a brand new homeowner of a dark estate, her excitement quickly fades as she starts seeing a mysterious man around the property. She can never seem to approach him or speak to him, but she's comforted by his warm presence and he starts appearing in her dreams. 

Her encounters with him start to fill her with intrigue and longing, rather than fear. As external circumstances lead Stella to spend more and more time alone at home, her connection to the mystery man deepens, and her friends and family start to worry as she starts to emotionally detach from the outside world.
