Okay so apparently the Demeter daughters are gone??? For two whole months??? Heja needs to cope, Steve and Billie suddenly have a lot more space in their cabin when they return for the summer and the Argo III is desperate to get their friend back. And I'm not even starting about the fact that Thalia's tree is poisoned and Chiron is gone and the new camp director (Tantalus) is an absolute asshole and a Cyclops is Poseidon's new kid and Clarisse is on a quest to get the Golden Fleece and Percy, Annabeth and Tyson have also gone on a quest and peeps and a whole lot of more shit. 

IN OTHER WORDS: if the lightning thief was a penny , this shit is a whole dollar. Isttgs this whole fic is the biggest thing I'm planning on pulling off teehee.

Life of A Young Demigod: Book 1 (Percy Jackson reader insert) by ClarendonI

COMPLETED! This is a m!reader-insert fic based in the Percy Jackson universe, as I imagine you can tell. I'm just starting this (as of early March 2023), and have very little writing experience, at least with this style, so forgive me if it begins a bit rough, I will likely go back and clean things up later on once I'm a bit more experienced. I intend this to be fairly strict in terms of major canon relationships and such, I don't have a problem with people who change them and actually quite like a number of stories that do, but I'd like to try something other than the 50th readerxannabeth fic (dont yell at me I actually enjoy those). I also will not be having (Y/N) "take Percy's place" in any way. Again, I have no problem with others who write this way, but it is not how I want to do it. I grew up with Rick's superb writing, and I don't intend to make any fundamental changes to Percy's story. It is great as is and I don't exactly feel qualified to change it. Perhaps I will get more ambitious as I go along, but I am fairly certain of this at the moment. (Y/N)'s story is complimentary. It will of course involve many changes to events, new events, and even slight lore changes to make things work, but it will all make sense within the original framework and hopefully won't be too jarring. In terms of long term plans. I aim to at least get through the end of HoO. That'll probably take a good year or so, so I think that's a solid aim for now. I'm from Long Island, so expect a LOT of specific LI and NY references here and there. Think of them as fun easter eggs :) Books one and two are going to fairly brief compared to the later ones. They're not short by any means, they'll be a solid 3 hour read each, but the later ones will be notably longer. Enjoy!

She has no desire to run errands for the gods and is quite comfortable living the rest of her (likely short) life messing around within the magical camp borders. Unfortunately, that comfortable life has been slowly falling apart ever since her older brother betrayed the camp. Now she's found herself on a quest she never wanted, but with her best friend's life on the line, did she really have a choice? This is my first creative writing project/fanfic ever, so if you have any advice or constructive criticism please share! Improvement is my 2nd goal, my 1st being to write in an OC that actually adds something to the story. I'll probably be tweaking the great prophecy for plot reasons but I'll try to make everything I add or take away blend smoothly into the original story. What they don't know, is that another mysterious young demigod was also assigned to this quest. Hali Peterson. Daughter of Poseidon, born in 1937, dropped in the Lotus Casino at age 14, till her father pulled her out in the middle of the Giant War, in hopes to gain some more power in the underwater battle that raging at his palace. Now it was the next summer, and 15 year old Hali was living the dream in Southern California, occasionally going on different quests for her father. What happens when she meets her brother on one of these quests? I hope you like this!
