DISCLAIMER:  Just wanna disclose, NO, I didn't just whip this up right as Steamboat Willie became public domain. I started this back in November, and I only just finished the weekend of New Year's Eve. I'm fully aware of the public domain bit, but what I made here was my own thing. Hope I clarified it all. Anyways, I've made the fanfic as a tribute to the 100th year of Disney, and I basically finished it right before 2024. According to the stories that I have read and heard around the castle, love seemed to be something magical and incredible, especially if it was true love. So, how could someone determine it to be a weakness? It wasn't until I landed in Neverland that I had to find out the truth the hard way, in the most excruciating and heart-wrenching way possible. Yet, It was my fault after all, I decided to make a game out of it and someone else decided to use that to their advantage. If I was given the chance to change something from my past it would have been to prevent myself from all of the heartache that was to come. Be aware that I've only used your first name, but others have been named. Some of our actual conversations were recorded in this journal. I guess sort of like a book even though writing isn't one of my better strengths. Buddy, that keychain you gave me changed many things. I began sharing this in July and I made my last post early on New Year's Day. You'll be happy to know that the plans for the new center are locked in the safe. I look forward to working with you in this new year we find ourselves in, and please forgive me for telling tales out of school. The idea for the description was recommended to me by a very good friend since I didn't know how to describe this journal which took place in real time. Dark Matter is a chapter of a much larger work titled "Chronicle of Rouge hill' which I've been writing since I was a teenager. I had started in early 2009 and quickly shelved it in 2010 after I saw "Inception", realizing the ideas were too close. It was picked up again in October of 2012 when I realized what it had to be: less focus on the technical aspects and jargon, and the addition of a love interest. Also, the mission of the "Order of ravens" was changed simply to collecting dream tech. All ten parts were written during the period of October 2012 to March 2013. The idea was to begin posting it on blogger.com in July and it would end in real time, on new year's eve. The events of my real life have indeed influenced the writing.
