'But because every part of your soul calls to mine. There is no part of me that isn't attuned to you. That doesn't seek you out in every room I enter. That doesn't look for you even when I know you can't be near. I love you because you complete me in every dimension. It was easy because you wove into every thread of mine with such ease that I couldn't possibly get rid of you.'

Adara's life had been good. She shared an apartment with the best friend she'd had since she was a baby, she was in her third year at NYU for pre-law, and she had the perfect boyfriend, who could only have been described as having walked out of a dream.
But that all comes crashing down when he reveals himself to be involved with a Yakuza syndicate, demanding she pay back the debt her dead mother had left her.
Except, Kai doesn't want money. He wants her and he'll have her one way or another, no matter how many times she runs from him.
What started out as a debt to be paid, unfurls into so much more when Adara finds herself grappling with the hate she feels for the man she used to love and the electricity she still feels crackling in the air whenever he's near.
Adara seems to be stuck in a dark, endless tunnel and it's one she can only hope she'll come out of alive.
That is, if Kai doesn't drag her down to hell with him.
