Sydney Townsend is a 38 year old writer and artist. Through divorcing her abusive husband of eight years and sex therapy she faces a reality check that she is mainly attracted to women. Curious of the supernatural, she stumbles upon a bar after receiving an email from a anonymous sender. There Sydney meets a woman of great mystery, Natalia King, learning her and her family are vampires that own and run a human blood donor business. Natalia reveals to her the underground world of the supernatural as well as secrets that change Sydney's life forever.

Sydney soon becomes a blood donor to the King Family, giving her new opportunities for success, romance, and danger. Sydney and Natalia over time deepen their immediate connection, asking themselves whether it is simply lust or is it something more. Is this the love they've been searching for, or will this forbidden relationship destroy them both?
