❝Everything is going to change.❞
When she comes to, curled up on her side inside some strange elevator of sorts, the only thing Adeline can remember is her name. Anything else about herself - who she is, her childhood, her family - are gone. Her mind feels empty, like a dark void. Then, when the doors to the elevator open, she realises that she is not alone. She is surrounded by a large group of boys, who welcome her to the Glade, an encampment surrounded by four towering stone walls.
But, she's the first and only girl who has come up in that Box.
Like herself, nobody can remember anything about who they are, the outside world nor why they are here. The one thing they do know is this: those doors close at night, and open again the next morning.
Well, until everything starts to change.

❝All things happen for a purpose.❞
What if Adeline was sent to Group B instead of Group A?
Adeline wakes up in an elevator moving only upwards, and is soon thrown into her new life with at least sixty girls, living in a glade with no memory of their pasts, surrounded by four towering stone walls. What waits outside those walls is a Maze. For the last two years, most of these girls have been stuck there, with one thought only; to escape.
And when they do, what waits for them is something that nobody would expect; the world suffering from the aftermath of Solar Flares and a disease with no cure. Soon, they learn that they're all just Variables in WICKED's trials.
