An Awaited Come Back (Mario x King Toadstool...)

(The events of this story take place after Mario Odyssey.)
After the last few events, where, in the heat of the moment, Peach rejected both Mario and Bowser's proposals, she decides to pick up her courage to go talk to the plumber and explain her real feelings to him. Even if it means upsetting him... As chocking as it is, he accepts it and promises to keep saving her as well as staying her friend.

A few months later, Mario and Luigi have been invited to the castle, but it wasn't for the usual hangout reason. The invitation says that someone special just... came back home? What does she mean? Once arrived the bros find that everyone in the castle look at the same time stressed and exited for this special someone. Confuse but curious they enter the throne room in hope to find Peach. But the person sitting one the throne, while still looking familiar, isn't Peach,
He is however, quite attractive, admits Mario.

(This is my first written story so if you have any advice or correction to make, I will be more than happy to receive them. I also want to add that English is only my second language so sorry in advance for the bad grammar/phrasing)
