The Yakuza Tokyo-wide is trying to clean up the red-light districts and change the connotation of Yakuza from unnecessary evil to peacekeeping managers. At least, some of them want it that way. Owning most of the businesses that provide illicit services, the Oda-kai syndicate is trying to take back Kabukicho in Shinjuku and eliminate shady behaviour in the industry on their territory. One of the hostess club chains, Club Diamond, is refusing to give up independent ownership to the Yakuza, causing Oda-kai members to continue using old methods of persuasion: violence, threats, and raids, tainting their reputation even further.

Kazuhide 'The Phoenix' Obata is a member of the Oda-kai. The second in command. Yakuza life is all he knows. His family and the Oda family have been intertwined since the formation of the clan by deep trust and friendship through the generations. But intertwined family isn't even the half of it. Corruption, deadly secrets, and enemy infiltration are in the recipe for 'just another day' in the Yakuza.

Club Diamond holds the key to change. And holds onto it very tightly.
