He's staring at me, telling me everything but nothing all at once.
"I- I don't know, V." His voice is soft as we stand in the dimly lit hallway between our bedroom doors.
I wait another beat, pleading with him through my eyes, but again, nothing. "Okay," I Iet out a soft whisper. "Goodnight, H."
I turn around and begin to walk away, but not even two seconds later I feel his hand grab onto my elbow and turn me around, pulling me closer so that his lips land directly on mine for a split second.
The kiss was short lived, and after pulling away I take a moment to stare into his eyes again before plunging back into him.
