"You don't exactly come off as friendly," you state, the words coming out harsher than intended.

"Fair enough," he concedes. "So, what now?"

You open your eyes to see him still crouched beside you, his gaze boring into yours.

"Now? What do you mean?" you ask, confusion clouding your mind.

"What are you going to do now? You've admitted that I scare you. You're trapped in an elevator with me. How are you going to handle that?" he says, a smug grin tugging at the corner of his lips.
