Maaran entered the room and locked it. His lips curved as his eyes fell on his wife Mithra. She got up from the bed and took few steps towards him. She held his hands and smiled at him. He smiled back . " Don't worry. " She whispered and he looked at her confused. " I knew everything." She said and his eyes widened for a second but he maintained his composure as he stared at her. She took his silence as acceptance and continued. " Don't worry, I will complete my studies this year. I'm a topper and I will get a good job for sure." She said and he just nodded with confusion. " It's good. But..." Before he could complete she interrupted. " I knew that you are jobless and just came from a rehab centre. Don't feel inferior. We are lifetime partners in this journey. I will be there always for you. " She said as she patted his cheeks and took her hands away gently. He gave her ' Is she mad?' look . " Who said you these things?" He asked as he tried his best to be serious. " I can't answer it now! But it's one of your well-wishers." She said in a soft tone. " And about your past love , it's just a crush. Just think she isn't lucky to have you in her life. I will help you to overcome. Just trust me." She whispered softly. He's about to say the truth about him but her antics stimulated him to tease her. He's a police officer and didn't have any past love. Infact he helped many people by admitting them in a rehab. " Shall we sleep?" She asked and he nodded. He hugged her from behind, his fingers drawing circles on her bare waist. Her heart raced. " What...are...y ..you doing?" She stammered as his lips made contact with her skin . " Don't leave me!" He tried hard not to laugh while he uttered those words. He held her even closer and slept in few minutes. But sleep is far away from her due to his closeness.
