The white haired boy sat in his usual spot, a seat next to the window, over looking the sea. He was waiting for his... Ah... 'Roommate' to arrive home, but he was late as usual. The one he waited for went by the name Rey, which the boy thought to be quite misleading; such a petty nickname for such a... a... a what? Kaneki didn't particularly understand what he thought of the boy. Rey was a bit of a, well, truth be told, he was a bit of a dick most of the time, but he had some moments. Rey was capable of kindness, but very rarely. He consisted of mostly rude, yet strangely affectionate, insults, all of which were directed at Kaneki. Yet, even considering this, Kaneki found a strange... Yearning for the boy. He had never really loved someone, and he yearned for that feeling, that moment of pure joy. The white haired boy sighed, closing his eyes and rubbing his temple as he often did when nervous or concerned. Which he was now, who knew. The boy pushed his middle fingers against each of his ears, to make it so he would have a hard time hearing anything. For some strange reason the boy could not yet understand himself, he had this feeling of yearning trapped deep inside his breast, not willing to weaken, but seemingly do the opposite and grow stronger with each conversation he had with the troublesome boy. Suddenly, a though occurred to him he never really considered before; did he love Rey? It was possible. When he stole glances at the boy, his stomach would do a strange thing, and his d...
