Fear of Flames

Seraphina was like the sun, and I the moon. Light and darkness. This war ends when I destroy her.

Seraphina has been looked down on her whole life, failing to fulfil her father's expectations to marry. Finding out that she had an unusually strong amount of magic energy, she is employed by a castle warrior to complete magic conjuring training.

An undead army called the Lich has reappeared on the outskirts of the Great Kingdom of Verdentia, forcing villages like Seraphina's to evacuate further inland. Her training in the castle has kept her away from these dangers - but they are fast approaching.

She meets a powerful Daemon warrior named Ronan when she moves into the castle. He is tall, muscular and despite his hate at first sight, Ronan comes to find that there is more to Seraphina than he first thought. As she becomes increasingly aware of herself, Ronan can't help but feel fear towards her - an emotion he isn't used to dealing with. He must overcome this fear before it drives him to destroy her; the last hope of defeating the Lich King.

Author's note:
I write more for this story every day and release a chapter almost as often. I plan to finish part 2 soon, now that part 1 is complete, and ultimately reach completion. All advice is welcomed and I would love to hear what you think through comments on each chapter. I hope you enjoy the story I've been working hard on and I look forward to reaching completion with you guys :)
