The Problem hasn't been around for very long, but there's no denying it exists. Visitors haunt the London streets, able to kill with a single touch. Only children can see ghosts and it's the children that have to fight off the Visitors with shining rapiers and magnesium flares. When Lockwood and Co. get propositioned with a dangerous job in an old country mansion things get dangerous and the tension rises as they struggle to find the hidden Source and untangle the mystery of the Shimmering Wraith.

First published: December 2013 Status: Completed / First draft (unedited) "When he shall die, Take him and cut him out in little stars, And he will make the face of heaven so fine That all the world will be in love with night And pay no worship to the garish sun." ― William Shakespeare 19th of June 1924 was an horrible day for the small village a few miles outside London. One of the local families, the Styles, was brutally murdered in their home during the night. A witness said that she had seen two men leave their house that night, but they were never found. Very few visited the house after the murders but those who did, claimed they had seen the Styles's son. For 90 years, the house stood empty until the married couple Langford and their daughter moved in a summer day. © 2013- rosepetalnovels | all rights reserved
