"The Chronicles of Bewa" unfolds the gripping narrative of a young Nigerian woman who defied the odds, marrying her celebrity crush against a mere 0.1% chance. She believed her troubles had come to an end, but what appeared to be a dream come true soon turned into a harrowing ordeal. Can Bewa endure a life designed to shatter her, or will she succumb to the expectations set upon her, breaking like a fragile piece of glass? "The Chronicles of Bewa" is a fictional work that incorporates some real-life characters, and I want to extend proper credit to the respective owners of these characters. Additionally, certain events in this narrative are inspired by historical occurrences, while others are entirely fictitious. Any resemblance between the story events and real-life events is purely coincidental. Furthermore, I'd like to clarify that the images used in this story do not belong to me. Proper credit is given to the rightful owners of these images. If I have ever given you my consent to publish any of my work, I would like to take this opportunity to formally withdraw that permission. ~~~~(Mature)~~~~ "We're worlds apart..." "But I'm right here." "I'm far, farrrrrrrrrr far beneath your class..." "And so? I don't care." He shrugged. "You're fucking engaged!" I rubbed away the tears, scrubbing the edge of my sweater on my sore skin. "And somehow you keep acting like that singular most important factor in whatever you're doing here with me is nothing." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the bustling city of Lagos, Nigeria, a young woman named Somi struggles to be stable. She has been in and out of jobs, trying to keep up her "A" streak in school. Hot-headed and a go-getter. Her life turns when she meets Adams, a handsome and successful, Arewa man from an influential family, and despite having a betrothed, Adams is drawn to Somi's beauty, charm, and personality. Sarima is Somi's twin sister, and she struggles to make ends meet just like her sister. She has to deal with the university hassle, bills, and finding a good life with her sisters, Somi and Homa, without selling her body(beauty).
