Gretel Wintar was unlike any creature to ever exist, an unnatural creation. She was a witch, born with the gift of eternal life. As always, a blessing may also be a curse. One can run for hundreds of years but they will never out run their destiny.
Her very existence will determine the outcome of the world and all the creatures that inhabit it, magical or not. To fulfill her destiny would mean to risk her life, to risk the lives of those she loves. She needs help, which she finds in a boy she's not so sure she can trust. His very existence is reason enough for her not to, but what if she could? There is something behind those eyes that pull her in. If her best friend Aniyah is willing to join forces, she will too.

The Prophecy

Apparently, the world was ending, despite the obvious knowledge it wasn't, and Sarah wanted to party. Whitney was always the third wheel when it came to Sarah and her boyfriend Jack, and was really not up for it, but she threw on some clothes and met them at the beach. Whitney met them, and after hours of torture, ran away from them after almost drinking cow blood. On her run, she saved lives and saw the world beginning to change. She ends the escape at Courtney's house, a local teen, who was drunk with her best friends. Unfortunately, the Ouija board "joke" turned into a true spell that slowly caused the human race to disintegrate and the rise of supernatural beings to become a reality.
