The Complete Set of "The Tale of Zai" by Spark-the-Hybrid is the story of my OC's adventures in the Avatar: The Last Airbender series.

This single book collection contains the four books in the "The Tale of Zai" series. Each book is named after each of the elements in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe.

Book One: Water | The contents of the first season of the Nickelodeon TV series, with slight changes and plot twists brought by my OC, Zai.
Book Two: Earth | The contents of the second season of the Nickelodeon TV series, with slight changes and plot twists brought by my OC.
Book Three: Fire | The contents of the third season of the Nickelodeon TV series, with slight changes and plot twists brought by my OC.
Book Four: Air | The contents of the A:TLA comics based off the period of time between The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. The story may vary slightly due to the addition of my OC, but not much of the canon content will change.

This is a fanfiction, with an OC insert, NOT A READER INSERT. I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender, or any of the characters, other than Zai and a few others. Please remember, because this is a FANFICTION, not everything will be exactly as it is in the original story.

Avatar: the Last Airbender Fanfiction Zuko x OC Makki is the twin sister of Sokka and the older sister of Katara. She is one of the last Southern water benders, along with her sister. At the age of ten, she lost her mother in a Fire Nation raid, right at the South Pole; all she has left is her mother's necklace, which Katara wears around her neck. After that, her father left to fight in the Hundred Year War, along with all the other grown warriors, and Makki and her siblings were put under the care of their Gran Gran. She grew up practicing her bending and helping Katara with all the chores, while their brother practiced his fighting skills and tried teaching the younger boys of their village. Makki's siblings followed their destiny of helping Aang master all four elements while Makki was stuck on a path with the Fire Nation Prince Zuko and his uncle Iroh. After being betrayed by the prince, Makki joined her siblings on their journey of helping Aang. But soon enough, Zuko figures out that his destiny is to join with Aang's group and to teach him fire bending. In the beginning, Makki couldn't believe Zuko's change, but he promised himself that he would make it up to her and prove to her that he's truly changed and that he loves her. I do not own any of the artwork or story shown in this book (except for the story in Chapter Fourteen). I only own the original character Makki and her actions in the book. After the turbulent conclusion of the Hundred Year War, Fire Lord Zuko stands at the crossroads of history, a reluctant leader burdened with the weight of his ancestors' sins. The path to restoring peace and honor to the Fire Nation is fraught with shadows, as whispers of discontent echo through the halls of the royal palace. Among the murmurings, the Blue Flame rises. In this treacherous landscape, trust is a rare currency. Zuko's citizens eye him with suspicion, their faith in their new leader as fragile as the smoldering embers of a once-great empire. Yet, in the midst of doubt and danger, Zuko finds an unexpected beacon in the form of Katara. Her presence is a calming tide in the storm of his turmoil, offering him strength and a new perspective. As Zuko and Katara navigate the labyrinth of court intrigue and unseen threats, they cling to a shared vision of a peaceful future. But with the Blue Flame's true intentions shrouded in mystery, and old wounds threatening to tear open anew, the journey to redemption becomes a perilous dance on the edge of darkness. Together, they must uncover the secrets that lie hidden in the shadows, and determine if the light of hope can truly overcome the fire of rebellion.
