My five teenage friends Dustin, Carson, Beth, Mandy, and I, Toy, are followed in "BerkVille" as we navigate adolescence. On the tiny Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, we traverse and experience various trauma, identity awakening, lifestyles, school, and challenges. However, to learn the truth about our friend DeeJay's murder, we must temporarily put our lives on standstill. His body was discovered in a river and initially believed to be a suicide, but the evidence quickly led to the conclusion that he had been murdered. Since our lives are connected to his, we are starting to be blamed for the murder. So, in an effort to clear our names, we start looking into things and run into some voice recorders that DeeJay left behind. DeeJay delivers a story on each tape about the motivations behind those who could have longed to kill him. Can we get our names cleared so we may resume our hectic lives? And is it possible that someone is watching us?
