I slapped him. He was stunned for a moment- a very brief moment. Tears were brimming around my eyes. "H-how could you..." He scoffed at the words that came out of my mouth. "I b-believed y-y-your lies..." "It was your choice." "B-but the promises, the kis-" He laid a finger on my lips. "The sweetest lies hurt the most, my dear."
