Spyro had just been kicked out of the village he had grown up in. He had accidentally set fire to the mayors house. His only friend being Sparx, an adventurous dragonfly. Spyro wanders the world, having no idea where he was particularly going. He comes across a black dragon named Cynder. As Spyro, Cynder, and Sparx explore the world once more, they meet the Skylanders, a team of elite fighters that want to rid the world of the evil sorcerer, Kaos. Spyro and Cynder are asked to join the Skylanders team by the portal master, Eon. They accept and go on an adventure to stop Kaos.
