The Battle of the Bands ✓
He took a step closer, the smirk not leaving his face as he could sense my irritation. "I've been looking forward to this for far too long," he laughed, licking his lips. "And for once, I'm gonna be the one knocking the smug smile off of your face." My scowl deepened, confused as to what he was talking about. He took another step forward, standing close enough for me to get a whiff of his minty breath and aftershave. He leaned in towards my ear, speaking loud enough for only me to hear, "We'll settle this with the battle of the bands," *** [Completed] Kylie Thompson had it all; she had the perfect family, a handsome boyfriend, good grades, and she was apart of one of the best marching bands in the state. Within a year, that all changed. Her parents filed for divorce, her boyfriend broke up with her, her grades began to slip, and her band director passed away from kidney failure. Now Kylie has to deal with four new issues; her parent's immature fights, avoiding her ex, improving her grades, and keeping the band from falling apart. All of this, and putting up with a guy in the rival band that is so cocky yet so cute. With these newfound troubles, will Kylie be able to keep her life from crumbling, or will a certain someone come along and sweep her off her feet?Complete

Highest Rankings: 115 in first person I was just a simple sophomore. I hung out with my friends, played sports, got straight A's, my life seemed to have everything that I wanted, until I saw her. She was super quiet, she probably went unnoticed a lot, but she's so super pretty, super smart, she had a lot of classes with me, and she even did some of the same after school activities as me, she's so perfect. I realized that she is super social around her friends and she doesn't care what people think of her. She always wears big, black glasses and, most of the time, oversized t-shirts with the front tucked in. It's gotten to the point where I can't imagine life without her, I just don't know how to approach her.Complete

A Memoir from the Band Room
The life of a High School band department is full of trials and tribulations that people not in the programs don't hear of or don't think about. Sit in with a few members from the band department and hear their side of things. She was a shy naive girl when everyone first met her or so they thought. After that first day of school they start to notice that she's different then she looks to be but will she show her true self or stay the shy naive girl people think she is. What happens when she finally has enough of being the shy, depressed, guilt filled, daydreamer girl that she changed herself into. What happens when she has to transfer to the same school as her best friend Jacob who's in the same friend group as the schools "bad" boy who's also dating the worst bully she's ever had. Like a sunflower will she blossom to her full beauty or will she stay in her shell read to find out. Possible abuse, smut, drugs, self harm, sexual assault, smoking, cursing, dirty but not nude pictures and more. I tried to put ⚠️ emoji on any chapter containing self harm, smut, abuse, sexual assault, etc. Would not recommend unless 18+ years old and not sensitive to sensitive content. Blue Hair and Bruised Knees
My life used to be pretty boring. Everything was average. Normal family, normal looks, normal house, normal job, normal life. The only non-boring aspect of my life was my best friend which was only because she always managed to mess it up somehow. I didn't really mind much because it kept things interesting. That is until she disappeared leaving me to care for her fatherless child with nothing more than a few hundred pounds and a sorry note. She did ruin my old life. She ruined everything that I'd actually cared for. My parents hated the fact that I was 'throwing my life away' for a child that wasn't mine. Not to mention illegally. I dyed my hair blue in rebellion. My own way of saying "F*CK YOU!" ...They kicked me out shortly after. I couldn't find a decent job in the area and the rumors became so vicious that I just left and never looked back. Old life: Destroyed, unraveled, completely gone. Let's see how long my new life lasts shall we?Complete

One look of his face and I was sold. He had me on my knees since freshman year. We have lived in the same town since birth but never spoke. Why? Because hes the head of the track team. The best runner on the team and the best anyone in this towns ever seen. Anyways it makes him a jock, popular. Me on the other hand an outkast. I have friends just none of us are popular. Were all classifiesd into the Emo/Goth catogory. Were people, I mean, come on. We just dress different and listen to rock. Big whoop. I hate sterotypes.
