Welcome to my band rant! I play clarinet in my school's wonderful marching band, this one time during school... this guy insulted band... this is my reaction to that.

A Memoir from the Band Room
The life of a High School band department is full of trials and tribulations that people not in the programs don't hear of or don't think about. Sit in with a few members from the band department and hear their side of things. Featuring: some the finer points of the program from a some different points of view, a couple personal experiences, a vocabulary list and a funny story or two. Please feel free to leave comments and feedback. I only marched with one school and therefore only have one school's worth of experiences so if you have had a different experience marching or spinning feel free to tell us about it! Highest Rankings: 115 in first person I was just a simple sophomore. I hung out with my friends, played sports, got straight A's, my life seemed to have everything that I wanted, until I saw her. She was super quiet, she probably went unnoticed a lot, but she's so super pretty, super smart, she had a lot of classes with me, and she even did some of the same after school activities as me, she's so perfect. I realized that she is super social around her friends and she doesn't care what people think of her. She always wears big, black glasses and, most of the time, oversized t-shirts with the front tucked in. It's gotten to the point where I can't imagine life without her, I just don't know how to approach her.Concluida

One look of his face and I was sold. He had me on my knees since freshman year. We have lived in the same town since birth but never spoke. Why? Because hes the head of the track team. The best runner on the team and the best anyone in this towns ever seen. Anyways it makes him a jock, popular. Me on the other hand an outkast. I have friends just none of us are popular. Were all classifiesd into the Emo/Goth catogory. Were people, I mean, come on. We just dress different and listen to rock. Big whoop. I hate sterotypes. Blue Hair and Bruised Knees
My life used to be pretty boring. Everything was average. Normal family, normal looks, normal house, normal job, normal life. The only non-boring aspect of my life was my best friend which was only because she always managed to mess it up somehow. I didn't really mind much because it kept things interesting. That is until she disappeared leaving me to care for her fatherless child with nothing more than a few hundred pounds and a sorry note. She did ruin my old life. She ruined everything that I'd actually cared for. My parents hated the fact that I was 'throwing my life away' for a child that wasn't mine. Not to mention illegally. I dyed my hair blue in rebellion. My own way of saying "F*CK YOU!" ...They kicked me out shortly after. I couldn't find a decent job in the area and the rumors became so vicious that I just left and never looked back. Old life: Destroyed, unraveled, completely gone. Let's see how long my new life lasts shall we?Concluida
