Ten years ago Laney got on a Grey hound bus headed to Texas to meet a guy she met on a dating site called plenty of fish. She recently became sober from years of drug addiction to opiates and meth. She wasn't expecting anything more than a fling. Little did she know how much her life was about to change. The story jumps from different time periods. It starts out Jaunary 2024 when Laney is 32 years old and recently found out about her 3 year old son Cole's autism dignoses. Then the story jumps back to 2014 right before Laney met Doug at the age of 22.
