Dr. Amelia Joan De Sario is a young, gorgeous, gifted, anesthesiologist who swore to never have her heart broken by a stupid and lying boy again. She just now views men like they were toys that she likes to mess with. She likes fake-flirting with them just to play with their feelings, has never taken their advances seriously, and only went on dates to get free meals for fun. Her new-found perspective seemed to uphold well until a tall, dark, tattooed handsome American-Spaniard General Surgeon named Dr. Marc Alvaro Ciervo walked into her operating room. He's quiet, and won't utter a sentence unless it's about medicine or if she's annoying him. She basically knows nothing about this man except that he is smoldering hot with perfect blue eyes and has tanned, veiny forearms and long fingers that appear to be talented---in the operating room. Somehow, all her values seem to be crumbling down whenever she sees him, and her curiosity about this man gnaws at her each day. She doesn't know if she should pursue it or let it go. She wanted to let it go because she knows that he could either be a delicious gift from cupid or another beautiful mistake who might cause greater pain with even bigger secrets and lies. Her heart is not prepared for that kind of risk. She refused to go through that again. However, like a malignant tumor, her need to know him and her physical attraction for him uncontrollably grows each day she spends in his presence.
