A different way "Finnegrin's Wake" and "Infantis Sanguine" ended where Callum gets a lot more hurt by Finnegrin and Claudia. Rayla can't help but feel responsible for it, especially when she stays behind on the boat while Callum and Ezran go to find Aaravos's prison. Rayla also learns how much her leaving affected Callum when Soren tells her about what he went through while she was gone.

The plot is basically Callum odes the dark magic spell Finngren requires to save his friends, but there is a price. He loses his memories and gets found by Aaravos.
