Between her ultra conservative parents and the ever-swirling rumors caused by the betrayal of her ex-best friend, Jay is ready for her senior year to be over before it ever starts. On her first day, however, a chance encounter (or collision) changes the trajectory of her life. Demi is a transfer student, upset that her father's job has torn her away from the city, her boyfriend, and the life she knows. It hasn't been an easy adjustment to such a tiny, boring town, and she doesn't even have a car to get away. The first day of her senior year is going terrible, and to make matters worse, her clumsy feet have her stumbling down the stairs. Two things to take away: you never know what is going on in someone's head and the most important thing...you never know what happens behind closed doors.
