Portgas D Ace didn't feel in pain when he died. He felt numb, empty, not quite there. His entire life flashed before his eyes and he had never felt so much regret than leaving Luffy alone in the world. Ace was supposed to be dead. He was not supposed to wake up. Stranded in a new world without marines or pirates, instead, with wizards and mages. Stuck with a guardian angel (that's not what she calls herself, but Ace didn't care), Ace begins to navigate this new world and his new found magic. However, as he gets accustomed to this new world, the desire to go home starts to waver. Will Ace stay or will he go back home to Luffy and those he left behind?
