All the Pains of Loving

It is a fight of and for love.

Alias Solado and Lilly Avante have grown up together as next door neighbors, as best friends, as fated soulmates (even if they don't know it yet).

Alias is enrolled in the Marine Corps and is venturing off into the military life, away from parents, away from his home, his family, and most heartbreakingly away from his best friend, but alas a force from within summons him to make such a choice and he finds that sense of belonging in the Corps that he hasn't allowed himself to fully feel anywhere else.

Lilly must navigate life without Alias as her steady comfort and constant arms to feel safe in. She struggles through past trauma, new trauma, and the never ending feeling of incompleteness when trying to live a life knowing she will never fully know.

This story progresses over Alias' life in the military and away from Lilly while we also see Lilly's life and development without Alias. We see them apart, coming together, and the ups and downs of breathing in the presence of love.

It is a story that ventures to answer the questions many great poets and writers have composed to answer:
Does Love Fade?
Can it stay true to the test of time?
Is it enough?
