Clings like frost, ignites my fear.

A phantom's grasp I'm forced to feel.

The mirror chills; the silence hums,
A prison forged, escape undone.
Its clutch is iron, relentless, tight,
Stealing my breath, my will, my fight.

I cry to the void, plead to the night,
But silence mocks my fragile plight.
A fractured dream, a splintered scream,
A horror woven through the seam.

The glass consumes, the shadows gleam-
A nightmare laced with waking screams.

I stare, undone, into my twin,
Its hollow smile, my hidden sin.
And as the mirror takes its toll,
The last I see is my own soul.
