Charlie is now in Uni, and Nick has his own place, which is close to where Charlie goes to university. Charlie goes to Uni for a little while, and once he graduates, he immediately decides to move in with Nick. The move goes well, and they invite the friend group for a sleepover a few days after moving in. Tara, Darcy, Tao, Elle, and Imogen came. Issac would've come, but he went on a small trip with James and his family.
The sleepover went well, and when everyone left, Nick had a small surprise for Charlie. Well, two surprises. The first one was a dog. A small little pug Nick named Henry. The other gift was a ring. Specifically, a promise ring. Now that Nick was 21 and Charlie was about to turn 20 in a few weeks, he decided to get a promise ring for the both of them. Nick wanted to spend the rest of his life with Charlie, and the promise ring was a step down from marriage, since they definitely weren't ready for that. Nick decided to give the promise ring to Charlie on his birthday, and hopefully, Charlie liked it. Nick was sure he would, it was just a bit nerve racking.
How will Charlie react to the promise ring and Henry?

He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
