Luna Perez has everything she could have ever wanted in life. She has a loving family, she's working towards her goals career wise and academic wise, and has an amazing support system, the one thing that's missing is love. At twenty-one years old, Luna Perez has never truly experienced being in love. She's had a few suitors but they all end up getting run off by her father, but Luna doesn't let that stop her from looking for love.

While visiting her eldest sister, Angelica, at her work, Luna meets NBA Player, Jordan Poole, and sparks fly as if it is love at first sight, but the spark is cut short when Luna has to leave for her next class. Luna finds Jordan being on her mind after their encounter, and a few weeks later, he pops up at the family restaurant in hopes of speaking to Luna, but of course, after a few exchanged words, gets interrupted by her father.

Despite her father's protests, Luna continues to see Jordan, and swears her siblings to secrecy. As their romance quickly blossoms, and their relationship becomes more apparent to the public eye and to Luna's family and friends, jealousy forms beneath the surface, causing a tragic ending to Luna's life.
