But her return to Hogwarts is anything but easy. Severus Snape is furious, too involved in being an overly protective brother, who also tries to keep her from another part of her past: Remus Lupin.
But as the past becomes the present, Sylvia can either continue to run from her past, or face it.

(Re-editing) It's clear that Severus Snape has never been great friends with the chaotic group known as the marauders but when his twin sister must be moved to Hogwarts from Beauxbatons in her fifth year for her own safety, the group take a sudden interest in the mysterious girl. One Marauder in particular, Sirius Black. With Snape keeping a protective eye over her surely nothing bad was going to happen... At least that's what he'd hope. In the Shadows | Severus Snape
Sylvia's first choice had always been Sirius Black. She had fallen for him easily, much like most other girls at Hogwarts, drawn in by his irresistible charm and magnetic confidence. But as time went on, cracks began to form in their relationship. And after a year of dating, new feelings and doubts begin to seep their way into the crevices, leaving Sylvia to realize that her heart might not have been as certain as she once thought. Severus Snape, on the other hand, was never supposed to be an option at all. He was impossibly aloof, always brooding alone in the shadows of Hogwarts. He was the last person she ever expected to care for. But throughout a year-long partnership with him in Potion's, she begins to see another side of him, one that nobody else ever bothered to uncover. The dedication he poured into his work. The rare kindness he managed to mask so well. And slowly, her dread of working with him blossoms into something she never anticipated, a connection she never knew could exist.
