A mysterious and unknown virus has spread infecting almost all of LA, aside from some evacuation points. A group of survivors get onto a plane at one of these points letting those who are healthy and alive on the plane. However one passenger turns out to be infected so the plane is shot down because of this. Only five passengers manage to survive with only minor injuries and they end up finding a mysterious woman who has lost her memories due to head trauma.
