When Oliver King follows his best friend to a small island off the coast of Wales, he's doing it to get his parents to stop pestering him about his life choices. He's young, he has time to figure life out. For now, he just wants to drink with friends, sleep around, and have a good time.

But Diafolruhn has dark secrets.

Rain Maddox, a driven woman with a scientific mind and a belief in the supernatural, goes to Diafolruhn to investigate the strange disappearances of teenage girls. Tough as nails, she doesn't shy away when her investigation is met with cold shoulders and even hostile behavior. She's a woman on a mission to find answers, despite having her annoying best friend in tow.

Then Oliver goes for a run on the beach, and his whole life shatters. Chained in a cave is a dirty, broken woman with haunting gray eyes. He leaves her for a moment to go for help, and when he returns, she's vanished. Now obsessed with finding her, he joins Rain Maddox on her quest for answers. They soon learn that the island holds more secrets then even Rain bargained for.

This is the first book of a series.
