There are words we people would use to desribe Darsinia-that is if anyone had ever found out about it . Some of these words would be normal , qaint , average. Never had anyone even thought of the oddities the ... unexplainable things that lay beneath the "qaint" little town of Darsinia.....

Every year, my town chooses a sacrifice for the demon that "watches over" our home. In exchange for a person from the village between the ages of 17 to 25, the demon protects our village. And because of that pact, our village is protected for the next year, under the demon's watchful eyes. No one knows what happens to those who the demon chooses, but there's a lot of theories about it. One is that the demon eats or absorbs those who are chosen - another, that it kills them. But this year, I'm the one who's chosen. I get to meet the demon I've feared since I was a child, and now that I'm 24, and am considered an adult, I could have left the village behind. But I didn't. Something inside me told me to stay. Now, I'm going to die. I just know it. I can't leave now, or run away, because the town would be unprotected for a whole year, and that's where my family lives. I don't know what to do, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Besides, how bad can this demon be if they're guarding our town?Complete

With a burning feeling
For one to inhabit oddities that are truly beyond normalcy, the town has been surprisingly peaceful for many centuries. However, behind the tranquility that seemed to encase the place, there lie intense rules that are forever ingrained by all townsfolk within their hearts and mind. Though it is not the town itself that was odd; but the territory just next to them. Vast and eerie, full of creatures of the unknown, and home to a being so powerful who was feared by all and remembered even by the youngest of children there was. The forest is not to be disturbed. The rules were simple. No one is to be allowed to enter, even taking a daring mere inch of a step, in the forest. NO. ENTRY. This is what has been placed when people take sightings of the large and wide forest. A warning that implies extreme danger due to the number of signs there are in one area. For there is a creature that lies beyond the forest. So dangerous and so terrifying, it could scorch the world with its flames. It's not a dragon. It's not a beastly monster. Not even a giant or a devil. But a god. A sun god. And the sun god's abode was the forest. And he is there for a reason.Complete

As the trees and its land slowly burn down by he deadly purple acid, a man that was watching from afar shivered at this sight. This has been going on for ages, and the creature hasn't been stopped. If they didn't stop the thing on time, everything they knew, everything they have ever known. Every building ever created, every world that has been generated, would be gone. The man looked towards his companion, or was he, his companion? His friend has been acting a bit strange, acting anything but not himself. The man took a deep breath and sighed. In this land there are two categories of people, normal humans like the readers and writers of this story and then those who can see the magic and evil. There are animals but there are also magical creatures, some good, some bad and some that are just there. You always stood out from the rest. You had the eyes that held the power to see these creatures. Bright yellowish gold eyes and people were scared of you. They were scared because you were above all of them. Your parents owned this old fashioned city. It was a village the size of a city and it had some modern technology mixed with no technology. You had no friends for for so long and people always bullied you probably because they were scared of you. They didn't know of the magical side of the land. They didn't know that some people can see it. They would only see the creatures if they made themselves seeable. Everything was normal one day, people treating you like trash and you running crying to your mom. But your parents had gotten you something that they know nothing about or take care of but they put the responsibility in your 10 year old hands.Complete

BOOK ONE: Having enough courage to run through the woods and away from the people who convinced me they were saving me was not how I believed I'd spend my day. Yet, there I went escaping from the only place I knew existed in the world. Being held captive was too much for me, especially when these people wouldn't tell me who they were or even who I was. The first moment in my life I recall very clearly. I awoke in a dark room, with recollection of everything that happened in the world except for one thing. I had no memory of myself existing, I didn't know where I was or why these men kept me from leaving. Days after I first woke I asked plenty of questions, and yet none of them were answered. The only thing I learned was that I was not allowed outside because the woods heald the most powerful magic on the planet, the most dangerous magic. It was more than just bad men and curiosity about the forest that got me to leave, it was a pull towards something; towards magic. Once I was in the forest turning back was never an option, so I put it in my head that I'd keep walking until I found a civilization or a nice paved road that would lead to safety. But that never happened because the forest has a force living through it. Believing that the forest held something strange was the easy part but experiencing it myself was something totally different. I didn't expect anything normal but I didn't expect to be completly engulfed into the forest. I was led by an unknown presence that made me truly believe it was a living being, and in fact it is. I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. I was given life that day, until it all ended months later; the day I took my last breath.Complete
