Maxxine Chavez is fourteen years old when the apocalypse starts and is stuck in CDC with her uncle through marriage, Dr Edwin Jenner. A group comes along just in time for disaster to strike and whisks her away to survive the dead together. This story follows Max growing up in a world of infection and trying to find where she fits into the narrative.

(Note: she is immune because I wrote her ages ago and I'm too far gone to change it.)
