Summary:
Beckett was raised as a fae in the Nature Realm, became childhood friends with the princess, Fira. When Beckett was of age, he was shipped off to Thyera to become the Royal Gaurd for the young and sassy Fire Princess, Askja. Years later, while he's bored out of his mind, his assignment shifts to protect his childhood friend, Fira. He learns that she is to be betrothed to Holden, the Prince of the Sky Realm. Old jealousy rises and Beckett does everything he can to try and win over Fira.

Fira, said to be the most delicate and innocent of the heirs, has a threat in her land. Her parents are old, the oldest rulers in the Four Realms, and have been preparing Fira for her role as queen...and wife. When a plague is killing her realm, her wedding is hurried to sooner rather than later, and she gets a new guard. But tensions between Fira and Beckett grow, and with her wedding approaching, she's looking for a way out.
