As far as Nick was concerned, he had nothing to worry about with his 20th birthday on the horizon. He would go to his coming-of-age gala, present as an alpha, and return to the human world to become a massively successful actor, thus contributing the massive amount of wealth his pack currently held. He would become a son that his father could be proud of, without the duties and expectations that came with being the first-born.
That was the plan. But not everything goes as smoothly as it does in one's imagination. Not only does it not go smoothly, the entire train that would've been Nick's life derails at that fated gala.
