When an extraterrestrial named Nitros Oxide, self-proclaimed fastest racer in the galaxy, challenges planet Earth, Crash Bandicoot and his closest friends, and even his foes, must race in order to save their beloved home. Tensions are high and not everyone is willing to assist, but what no one is yet aware of is that there is a true mastermind working behind the scenes. They thought it was the end, but they were oh so wrong. Doctor Cortex is presumed to be dead, but little do the bandicoots know that evil scientists are much harder to squash than cockroaches. He is up to no good once again, after he finds himself in a cave filled with numerous crystals. Rather than destroy Crash when he meets him again, though, he decides to trick him into aiding him.
