Caprice Turner is one of the only individuals, well besides her older brother, in the Outer Banks that the island can't label. With her mother being Kook and her father being a Pogue, having to straddle both the rich and poor worlds, Capri navigates the complexities of societal expectations with a rebellious edge.

Though if you asked her, without hesitation she would say she is a Pogue to the bone. Preferring to stay with her dad on the 'wrong side of the island,' as her mother would put it, she spends most of her days with the Pogues or working at her Dad's surf lesson shop.

She doesn't see her brother much anymore, unless her mother forces her to stay at her house, if you ask him he is a Kook down to the bone. He hates her friends and hates that she refuses to accept that she is a Kook too.

All she wants is for this summer to be like the rest... Surfing with her friends, hanging with her dad, and causing some trouble. When a sudden storm hits and secrets are unveiled, who is she to turn down an adventure...

Last Summer

35 parts Complete Mature

River isn't the type of girl who goes looking for a boyfriend. But, on the first day of summer back in the Outer Banks since the year before, a boy catches her eye. And she catches his. Rafe didn't drop out of college to come back to OBX for love, but when he sees her in the country club cafe, he can't help but be completely captivated. When a date to the bonfire goes South, their whole world changes. Rafe learns that River isn't much different from him, but she's also not different from a Pogue. Can two worlds collide? The South and the North? The Kooks and the Pogues?
