No Man Left Behind
An intelligent entity by the name of Unilife captures the attention of an ancient alien race, who must decide whether or not to make first contact with the human race in order to stop this fast-learning, genocidal entity . . . And after encountering the entity themselves, Humanity must decide between fighting Unilife to the bitter end, or fleeing the Milky Way Galaxy altogether. This short story is a precursor to other writings to come. Essentially, I'm using my experience from writing this as a springboard for future planned projects. Sidenote: this project was originally drafted in Google Docs. For some reason, when copying over to Wattpad, Wattpad converts all the em dashes to regular hyphens. Be on the lookout for that, as it completely slaughters the meaning of certain sentences and phrases which use em dashes. The Vengeance Trilogy.
A trilogy of military hard SciFi short stories, each of which stands on its own but is linked to the earlier parts. Part 1 is my attempt at writing what a battle in space might really be like. Part 2 is - well, as a student of military history, I was struck by how some things in the military life have seemed to be constant over the centuries. Part 3 is the result of trying to imagine what an infantry fire-fight might be like in the 22nd century or beyond. How does technology play into it?Complete
