BOOK 7.   Kunlun is now a professor at the Centre for the Gifted where Shen Wei has chosen several special students to form a team, separate from the police. Yunlan considers himself normal but agrees to lead them. The book follows their progress, and the emotional ups and downs of the couple.  One of their adversaries comes back for revenge intent on killing both of them, and they get the chance to meet their predecessors from three lifetimes ago. We see endings and beginnings linked with danger through the eyes of Yunlan and Shen Wei.

After a raid, he is mistaken as the inside man but only briefly which leads to him meeting Zhao Yunlan. The story follows their relationship through illness and crime and eventually finding out their past historical connections. I usually wait until my stories are complete before posting. There are one or two references to the last book, very small links. There is more physical violence in this book which was a challenge for me but fun. Hope you enjoy it, as always, it's pure imagination.

Zhao is a detective chasing bank robbers when he first meets Black Robe thinking that he is one of them and shoots him. The story is about their relationship and their search to stop a drug which turns normal people into assassins, this drug has followed through in all my books, sometimes only in the background. Maybe this time they will destroy it completely. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did writing it.

BOOK 1. This was the first book that I started to write in May 2023. I always liked the idea of the story. Shen Wei patrols the streets at night, while he teaches by day and has health plus emotional problems because he's over taxing himself, so he visits Chu in the countryside. Yunlan is a spirit unable to help but can only watch until the opportunity comes along to change his situation. They also deal with kidnapping, burglary and it introduces Black Robes guards who are in every book that follows. This one was challenging to write but I enjoyed every minute, hope you like it as much as I did while writing. x

After one of his meetings he is arrested as a fraud when a woman is robbed of her savings and he spends the night in a cell. He is released the next morning when his lawyer comes to collect him. From then on, he learns about his destiny but he has kept his health problems a secret which could change everything. Zhao Yunlan doesn't believe in anything that he can't see or touch and it drives a wedge between him and the one he cares for while he learns about Wei's illness.
