Danny is Dick's older twin brother, not that he remembers that. He doesn't remember much of anything, actually. Everything up until he was nine is vague and splotchy. This is what he does know Maddie and Jack aren't his parents, not anymore. They said Phantom stole him. Killed him, took his place, stole his life.
So Danny doesn't remember much, just that his real parents are dead and that he left something behind in Gotham.
