What would happen if Astrid was the one who fought for the dragons? How much is this going to change the story?

Astrid Sigurdsson is a normal teenage girl who always wants to help the others to deal with dragons. But Her father never let her do that. His explanation was always the same.
"You are a girl! And girls are not made to fight! They stay at home and take care of it!"

Oh, Astrid was so sick of it! She wanted - no, needed - to prove herself to the village. To prove herself to her father. To her friends. And to the boy she secretly loved.

His name was Hiccup Haddock. He was the chief of Berk. No, she didn't love him because of his status. She loved him because he was always nice to her. Every time he saw her, a smile appeared on his lips. He always said she was like a little sister to him. Sometimes, she just imagined that he would fall for her as much as she fell for him. But one fact let her hopes fade. He was five years older than her. That's right. Hiccup was twenty years old.

And one day, Astrid really got a chance to prove herself to everyone. The question is, how is she gonna use it? Would she do the 'right' thing, and everyone would be proud of her. Or she'd do the 'wrong' thing, and then she might lose Hiccup forever.
