This story is inspired by the events that took place in Gander, Newfoundland in the days following 9/11. After the 9/11 attacks, all airplanes that were still flying were ordered to land immediately. Since Gander, Newfoundland has one of the biggest but least used airports in the world, 38 planes landed in the town, nearly doubling the town's population. Thousands of people were now stranded in Gander, having no idea when they would be able to leave. Some of the people were stuck on their planes for over 24 hours.
The events in this story are based on the Broadway musical, "Come From Away." Please note that none of the characters were real people, but the story is completely based on true events.
Planning on writing more short stories to add to this, or making one longer sequel that is from one specific character's perspective (:

At lightning speed I threw open the covers of the bed , checking for any trace of missing clothing ; Every ounce of my fiber, of my being was yelling at me to get out of here ,to run as fast as I could and never look back. Romero Porcupine decides that a change of scenery would be a good decision for himself after he had experienced a traumatizing event in his life, caused due to a feeling of being outcased. So, he decided to go and live in a nice, quiet town. Probably no one will know who he is in the town, so maybe it is for the best. It is said to be amazing. The townsfolk are supposedly nice. The scenery is amazing. There does seem to be something off, but that's normal.... right? I mean, who would not love to live next to the woods in a town that has a "Wolf Problem," whatever that means, AM I RIGHT??? No but seriously, he is a bit concerned for his well-being, and along with trying to keep his past and his job a secret from the town, he is trying to figure out how to process some new... information... he gets about the world he lives in. But, just maybe, he can find someone in this town to confide in? Someone who seems like he can trust. Someone who seems... strangely familiar.... Enjoy the book!!!
