Captain Nicholas "Nomad" Howley was just starting a long vacation until he was suddenly snapped out of his reality and thrown into another. This story follows Nomad as he adjusts and tries to understand the new world he'll eventually call home.

Humanity has struggled to survive ever since the robotic threat known as the Raptures invaded and took over the surface of planet earth. The only hope humanity has against these mechanical monstrosities are the Nikkes, the Goddesses of Victory, highly advanced combat androids that far surpass humans in all aspects of combat. However humanity views them as expendable tools that can easily be replaced despite all of them having human levels of thinking. My memory has failed me. My past haunts me. My decisions bite back at me with ferociousness not even a tiger would be able to achieve. I don't know how much I've lost just doing it... But I know for a fact, that if I just sat there and didn't do anything, I would've lost far more. No matter how dark the tunnel I thread through gets, I know that there are people out there that I can rely on to light up the way for me. Those people are to be protected at all cost. *Warning* Starting from Chapter 38, this story will contain strong language, violence, and events which are inspired by real-life events. This story is also lore-heavy; significant knowledge of Nikke's lore is recommended, although not required to understand. Read at your own discretion. Humanity is decimated. Annililated by beings known as Raptures. All over the world, they slowly pushed us back until there was nowhere else to go. Nowhere else but underground. And so, as a final safe haven, the Ark was created. An underground utopia, built to support millions, was created. All was well. Humanity was finally given a second chance to live without the fear of the Raptures. However, from beyond the Solar System, a threat is arriving. The Commander Who Didn't Give a shit
This is a story about a game called "Goddess of Victory: NIKKE" highly recommend it. Tried it, and now it's my favourite game. So, I shall be hopping into it! The setting is as follows: *Ehem* post apocalyptic world, women turned into cyborgs, a single Commander tasked with saving humanity. It has everything you could ever hope to expect from such a story- Eeexcept. This one Commander, the one who's supposed to be the upstanding citizen who does no wrong, the infallible hero who snatches victory from the jaws of defeat?... He's really just a shit talking bastard named Zero... Ah and speaking of shits... He has absolutely none to give really... Aaand yet despite that all, he seems to be the only one that's been able to make any sort of headway against the enemy that's been fought for over a dam century. Gee. I wonder why? Perhaps it's because of the fact that he doesn't give a shit about anything that allows him to disregard all the social and political fluff of this world and... just treat his team like people. Now ain't that some shit?
