[COMPLETED] Autumn Cross is now in 12th grade at her new school, Willington High, with only one goal in mind: passing the 12th grade and going to a good college. But her world changes when she meets Ryder Becker. Ryder Becker is one of the most popular boys in all of Willington High. I mean, all the boys want to be him and all the girls worship him. He could care less about grades because he knows that football is what's going to get him into a good college. But his carelessness in grades changes when he meets Autumn. Not only does Autumn get partnered up with Ryder for the biggest class project of the whole year, she also lives on the same street as him. In the beginning she thinks it's a total curse, but maybe it's a blessing in disguise... They both may pretend on the outside that they are fine, but truth be told, they are both broken. The way his smile doesn't match his sad eyes draws her towards him, and the scars and bruises on her skin draw him towards her. A cure for your sadness could be another person, right? Well put her broken pieces together with his, and you have cracked the code. Love could put their broken pieces back together. ----------------------------------- A sky full of stars and he was still staring at me. "Why are you staring like that?" I asked him. "You scare me, Autumn." Ryder admitted. "How come?" He looked down at the grass beneath us then back at me and gulped. "Because I want to tell you secrets I'm too scared to admit to myself." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🤍I wrote this when I was around 13-14 (i'm 19 now) so some chapters may be cringy but I am too lazy to rewrite them, and still so many people enjoy this book and i'm truly grateful! The Bad Boy and Me by readbooksforever
36 parts Complete
Meet Violet Summers. She's the sarcastic girl who doesn't really ever get noticed by anyone. She blends into any crowd because of how "normal" she is. And she loves it. She wouldn't be able to stand the attention of everyone around her. That's why she won't tell Ryan Bloore, her crush for three years, that she practically worships the ground he walks on. Ryan is the captain of the basketball team at their school, so guys see him like he's a god and girls act like he walks on water. If they were to date, all eyes would be on her- she would be under everyone's scrutiny. So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.

Ryder Lay. A girl who has always been 'one of the guys'. She's the only girl on her high school varsity football team and her friends are her teammates, otherwise known as the biggest jocks of the school, the top of the social hierarchy. Ryder is a total tomboy. Doesn't care about clothes or makeup. Doesn't care about dating. Doesn't care about hanging out with girls or going to the mall. Doesn't care about any of that kind of stuff. She cares about football. Anything and everything about football. And laughing with her friends, her fellow football players, especially her best friends, Topher and Parker. But things start to crumble. After all, drama never leaves. Topher and Ryder's friendship starts to strain when Topher starts dating Ryder's enemy. And when an awful person from Parker's traumatic past shows up, things go downhill. And it certainly doesn't help that a ton of crazy stuff is going on when Topher, Parker, and Ryder are all up for the scholarship of their dreams. But, for Parker, does being up for this scholarship mean he has to quit surfing, the one thing that's been keeping him going though his crazy, traumatic life? Through all of this, will Ryder, who's never felt a certain love in her life, find new feelings for Topher? Oh wait. Maybe Parker?
