"I'm scared," she whispered. It was the first words she said since I found her huddled down in the basement.
"But, nothing's going to happen to you!" I assured her. Big sistering was hard. I hugged her in my arms.
"I'm not scared for me," she whispered into my ear. I hugged her tighter.
I asked, "Then what are you scared for?"
She had these moments a lot. Making simple situations so dramatic. I had to support her, still. After all, she was my sister. I loved her to death.

In the darkness of her dreams, she saw herself standing at a window looking down below, only to see a misting, swirling fog. She could not see the ground and did not know how far down it was. She had no idea where she was. Soon after, she was led down a dark hallway to a room with a large altar. She felt herself being lifted up and then placed back down on the hard stone surface. Now all she could see was a large man, holding a knife in his hands, with the sharp edge pointed directly over her heart...Then a different man with deep blue eyes was looking down at her, and his hand was caressing her face, telling her everything was going to be ok. A loud bang on the door made her startle and rise up. There, coming through the door, were several large angry men, dressed strangely in what looked like animal furs and carrying ominous looking weapons. Some had clubs with sharp objects attached to the ends and others had sharp axes and swords. She could hear her own screams escaping from her lips, and she opened her eyes to notice she was lying in her bed in the safety of her room in the convent where she lived. She was still trembling and had to tell herself it was just a dream. She was safe and no one would ever be able to hurt her.

Ivory asked and I just held up my hand. "Hi, are you Maria?" I asked and saw the girl nod. "Yes, how can I help you?" She asked with what I can tell was a fake smile. "I know this is going to sound crazy... but your daughter is here." "Mina." The dead girl piped in and I looked over at her. "My daughter is at school." She said and looked around where I had glanced. "Mina is here... I can speak to the dead, she wants me to tell you something."

Then suddenly everything went dead silent. The lady vanished. The whispers and the wind stopped. But then Rhea saw light imprints of blood on the glass door under the dusty layer. ************************************ This book basically contains short horror stories of my own imagination. The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?" I rush as I grab the car key sitting on the glass table. I run into the garage with my dad behind me. "What do you need?" Dad asks "A room. A big one." He runs back inside as I hear her voice again. "Basement...blood...Elle..." I hear sounds of movement in the background and connect the dots. Elle's bleeding, or something... "Deep breaths baby, deep breaths. It's okay, you're okay" I murmur reassuring words to her, thankful that there's no traffic. Several thoughts run through my mind as I drove to her house. The last time we spoke, she could barely stand me, but now she's calling me. I feel kinda used, but now's not the time to think about that. I reach her house in a matter of minutes and shove the door open. The house is quiet, save for my heavy breathing and footsteps. I reach the basement and take in the sight in front of me.
