Percy Jackson returned to camp the summer after the giant war. The Giant War had certainly taken a toll on both camps, but for the time being, everything was well.
But he forgot the first rule of Percy Jackson: Never tempt the fates. In the midst of crisis, the newest great prophecy is declared, and Percy clearly just has the worst luck ever. So much for a relaxing summer at camp. He really needed to talk to the fates once he was done.

Ever since Percy went on the quest with Frank and Hazel, he has been hearing her whispering in his mind. Gaea keeps haunting him in his dreams. Telling him things during battle.
