"Gods are born out of the need of humans but they shall die at the hands of the ones they've wronged."

⋇⋆✦⋆⋇

The world of demigods has never been a safe one, plagued by monsters, the wrath of gods, and the impending danger of death. One might often argue, 'How much worse can it get?' A lot worse, especially when one of their kind is out for blood - their blood. The motives are unknown, the end goal concealed under a veil. All that is known is their name: The θεοκτόνος.

Y/n L/n was troubled, and she knew it well. She didn't have to be told by multiple teachers, foster parents, or even her old 'friends.' She was a rotten apple with a rotting core, an apple waiting to melt into poison and hurt everyone around them. Too tired to notice the changes around her, she tried telling her teachers about it. 'Schizophrenia,' they all say - the crazy girl who imagines her classmates attacking her, classmates who seem to vanish as soon as she stabs through them. There were moments, brief but chilling, where she couldn't recognize her own reflection.

Luke Castellan, the returned prodigal camper of Camp Half-Blood, a person who turned halfway through his plan and returned to camp, one who was forgiven for his mistakes. The golden boy of Camp Half-Blood, the one trying to make everything better for himself and others, the cabin counselor of the Hermes cabin, the best swordsman in camp.

Such parallels collide under a sky with an environment filled with fear and uncertainty. In such a situation, questions are bound to arise. Who is the God Killer, and what do they want? Is Luke Castellan a tragically manipulated hero or a cunning villain? Who among their friends is the one who is going to betray them?

She had pushed herself past her breaking point, and still continued on as if nothing was wrong. The demigod knew if she allowed herself time to take even a moment, her soul would physically crack in two. Now was not the time for weakness, if anything, she had to be stronger. She knew the other girls would mumble about her, but Icaria wouldn't listen to them. She refused to watch someone she loved fall at the hands of Thanatos again. If need be, she would offer herself to him in place. Yet, there was someone who noticed the young girl breaking apart. She could see the bags grow darker, and watched as Icaria began to eat less and less. It was the same someone who had saved Icaria all those years ago. And the goddess refused to watch that someone suffer any longer. The goddess, Artemis, stepped out of her tent in the early morning light. All of her girls were getting rest, taking the opportunity to relax with the very few days of peace they had left. All except one. In the distance, the goddess could hear the distinct sound of metal striking against wood. She took quiet steps, and watched Icaria Kane from a distance. The girl breathed heavily, her body slumped from exhaustion. "Icaria?" Artemis asked, stepping through the early morning fog. "Why do you cry?" The demigods body tightened, urging the tears to stop falling. She turned her body away from her goddess, clutching Hearth in her hands.

"I hear the underworld is just swell this time of year." "Really?" "No." ________________________________________________ (Name) had a lot of questions regarding his life, more the way it was turning out. One, the Greek Gods are real? Two, what the fuck? Three, he's a demigod? Four, how the fuck does one steal a lightning bolt? Better question, why was he one of the people tasked to steal it back? ________________________________________________ "Maybe the real lightning bolt was the friends we made along the way?" "That being said, I'm going to kill him with friendship." "Gimme the sparky sparky boom stick." ________________________________________________ Disclaimer: Percy Jackson & the Olympians and any characters in the series do NOT belong to me! If they did, I would've given Percy a gun in the first book and let him go ham. Any original characters belong to me. You belong to yourself, but like you actually belong to me so...
