I turned fast on my heel and dropped the knife to the ground as I gripped the gun with both hands, firing a bullet at a walker about 5 feet away. The echo of my gun lingered in the air as I stood with my back against the stranger. I looked back slightly with my peripherals and saw that he had killed the one I spotted behind him a second ago.

"I'm Harley." I said, exhaling loudly with relief.

"Daryl."

Knife Edge [Daryl Dixon]

50 parts Complete Mature

Daryl is a stone-cold killer. Sarah's a victim. Rick is crippled by grief. All true, except when it isn't... (Complete. This story is an alternate timeline that takes place in the time jump between season 8 and 9.) The war with the Saviors may be over, but when Daryl saves Sarah from some men in the woods, he, Rick and the Alexandrian's discover that a new group has arrived on their doorstep. A group that has already taken control of most of the road between Atlanta and Washington, and doesn't intend to stop until they have taken it all. With the stakes higher than ever, can Daryl and Rick bring the Washington communities together to face this new threat? And can Daryl and Sarah's growing bond survive in a world where the walking dead lurk around every corner, and the living can be more dangerous than the dead? Trigger warnings- Like the show, this is a world with lots of violence, some of it sexual in nature, however it's never explicit or gratuitous. I think if you make it through the first chapter okay, then you'll be fine.
